Jeff Stauring was trained early in his career to
succeed through continuous improvement. He offers
the same progressive and modern ideals to every
business he coaches. Jeff says that the key to
success for all enterprises is to continuously
improve upon products or services. He reinforces
continuous improvement because it is what keeps
businesses in profit and results in new and
improved products.

To illustrate the concept clearly, he offers the
example of products like cell phones, iPods, or
laptops, which were all developed and then
improved over the years. Continuous improvement
not only results in new products but more
importantly it leads to reduced costs therefore
making products more affordable. Product
affordability results in higher standards of
living as well as satisfaction for the end user.

He further says that one only needs to look at
some of the most successful people in the world
and the one common theme to their success would
be continuous improvement. Think about the most
successful business people in the world such as
Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jack Welch,
and Richard Branson. Think about the most
successful performers in the world Cher, Elton
John, Billie Joel, and The Rolling Stones. Think
about the most successful athletes in the world
Mohammad Ali, Michael Phelps, and Serena, Venus
Williams.

As Director of Transportation for Collier Public
Schools, Jeff Stauring delivered significant cost
savings through continuous improvement. In
2007/2008 total transportation costs were
23,569,091. Jeff focused on continuous
improvement and in 2008/2009 total transportation
costs were 17,228,682 or over 6,000,000 better.
Through further continuous improvement in
2009/2010 total transportation costs were
17,061,554. Through continuous improvement Jeff
Stauring reduced costs by 6,340,409.
