HAV (Humour, Beer and Crow) FIESTA
The town of Pakruojis is becoming
internationally-known as the capital of the
borders-free HAV state. The HAV state is a
unique project. It is the state where humour
rules, beer is immensely enjoyed, while crows are
respected and used for a meal. The state is
arranged on a model of a play and virtual factor.
The letters HAV are deciphered as humour, beer
and crows. Once launched as a play, the project
has greatly expanded even 16 countries of the
world have become the citizens of the HAV state.
The town of Pakruojis is becoming known as the
capital of this borders-free state.

• Children and junior theatres festival in spring.
  They show programs for other children, parents
  and teachers.
• We have no professional theatres troupe, which
  people of Pakruojis could enjoy. Every year we
  have theatre day. Visit us and youll see

This festival is organized every year on
the last summers Saturday. Then there are
concerts, sports competitions. If you come to
Pakruojis town fesival, youll find lively
atmosphere.

BMX BICYCLE COMPETITION
The most popular sport in my district is BMX
cycling. Pakruojis is famous for BMX bicyckle
track. There were republikan, international
competitions. We have good sportsmen.

REGIONAL FOLKLORE FEAST IEMGALA
Regional folklore feast Ziemgala is held
every summer, in June. Folk groups from
Lithuania and other countries meet there. Come
with your folk company and join our festival!

BIKERS FEAST
Annually, on the Augusts first weekend, almost
400 bikers from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Sweden
and Germany. You are inviting to come to a
impressionable event, arranged on Paeeriai stage.

COMERCIAL HUNTING
5463 ha of forest, 8500 ha of total hunting area
with hoofed animals bred (more than 250 noble
deers, more than 150 wild boars). Every year
hunters come from Germany, the Netherlands,
Sweden. We arrange reception for the guests as
well as board and lodging, traditional hunt
opening feasts .

• If you want to go to the BMX bicycling track,
  take a bicycle and go to ,,fun hills!
• If you want extreme senses go to the moto
  track in Petrasiunai. Youll need a motorbike or

THE PATH OF THE RURAL LIVE JOVARAI BEER
All, wiling to participate in the live,
unfiltered beer manufacturing process, featuring
the ancient brewers traditions, are welcomed in
the unique brewery Jovaras. The brewery,
located in Jovarai village, is inviting tourists
both coming alone and in groups.Taste our beer!

FOLK DANCING AND SINGING

• We have junior folk dancing company Reketys
  and senior folk dancing Laja. Their
  concerts are wonderful! If you want learn folk
  Lithuanian dances, theyll help you!
• Lithuanias famous no only for beautiful girls,
  but nice songs as well. We have folk groups
  Verdene and Uolainis, Obelele. Come
  to Pakruojis and listen to our songs!

The most popular place is the healthy park by the
river Kruoja. There young people like to meet, to
go for a walk,to go in for sports. There we
have concerts, festivals too.

BARON FON ROPP MANOR HOUSE
The estate at Pakruojis is one of the largest in
Lithuania. The complex of buildings at the estate
were built at the end of the l8th and the
beginning of the l9th centuries. Pakruojis manor
homestead located on the right shore of theriver
Kruoja, on the left side of the road
Pakruojis-Linkuva. Territory of the homestead
includes open manor museum exposition, surrounded
by park. Around 1780-1790, the estate was
inherited by Baron Ropp, who was of German
descent.

ENGLISH STYLE PARK
An English-style park, which was cultivated
between 1850 and 1860, is located by the
manor-house The English style park is an
important element of manor complex.

FIVE ARCHED BRIDGE
The central manor house as well as the five-arch
bridge dam, built in 1821 and restored in 2001,
are the most valuable items. The latter structure
was built of the dolomite it is the solo unique
object of the late Classicism in Lithuania that
was designed following the example of Roman
bridges and aqueducts.

STRUCTURE OF ESTATE COMPLEX
The manor-house and farm structures make up an
architecturally harmonious ensemble of buildings.
The territory features 43 classicist-style
buildings of the 18th-19th centuries. The
buildings of the estate are all designed in a
classical style. The farm structures of the
estate are well-preserved. At the center of the
complex is a two-story manor-house with a portico
(a porch consisting of a roof supported by
columns). The estate makes the stylistycally
integral complex.

WOODEN JEWISH SYNAGOGUE
In 1801 the synagogue  was built.  The synagogue
of Pakruojis represents the basic type of
synagogue-architecture the shape derives from
the stone fortress synagogues. Whereas most of
the Lithuanian synagogues, which have survived,
do not represent the special synagogue
architecture, they resemble more the plain
buildings, the local buildings. The synagogue in
Pakruojis is probably the last sample of the
basic type of synagogue-architecture. There was
no entrance to the synagogue from the river side.

OLD FIRESTATION TOWER
One of oldest and interesting buildings in
Pakruojis is firestation tower. The fires could
be seen in the distance from this tower.
