Introduction
  • The current Burlington bike path does not
    facilitate all bikers interested in long
    distances and extreme off-road biking.
  • We wanted a bike path close to the Long Trail in
    the mountains.

Scope
  • Our scope was the entire state of Vermont
  • Trail would be for anyone with the heart and
    desire for extreme biking, beauty and or a good
    challenge.
  • We looked in the Green Mountains for a bike path
    due to its natural beauty.
  • We wanted something out of the city.

Criteria
  • Within 10 miles of Long Trail
  • No more than a 30 slope
  • Far away from major roads
  • Intersecting as many waterfalls, recreational
    sites, and whitewater as possible.
