Want to learn some Brazilian body language?
37
Brazilian Body Language
Hold your thumb and third finger together.
Shake your hand really fast, so your index
finger snaps against the third finger. That means
"quick, fast.
Gently pull the eyelid down to indicate one of
two things, depending on the situation"watch
out, be careful, keep your eyes open" or "do you
think I'm stupid to believe that?"
Now, here's a cute one! Tug at your earlobe
like this when you think something is delicious.
38
Brazilian Body Language
So those were the good ones...now a bad one, ok?!
This is very similar to the American OK, but it's
VERY obscene! It means "screw you like the
gesture in the picture above. There are
countless jokes in Brazil about unknowning
Americans making the OK sign to signify approval
or pleasure. Please, train yourself to use the
"thumbs up" sign instead.
Tap under your chin with hand when you want to
indicate that someone doesn't know what he's
talking about.
39
Have you already bought your ticket to
Brazil?What are you waiting for?
