Planes
  • They come in all shapes and sizes
  • Some have gas motors, some have electric motors
    and some have no motors
  • Some planes come ready to fly (RTF) and some you
    build from scratch using plans

Transmitter Receiver
  • A transmitter is used to control your model
  • The receiver picks up the signal from your
    transmitter
  • You hold the transmitter and the receiver is in
    your model

Servos
  • Servos are motorized devices that move parts of
    the plane such as the ailerons and elevator
  • The more parts you want to move the more servos
    you need
  • The servos are connected to the receiver and to a
    battery

Takeoff Landing
  • You takeoff into the wind
  • Throw the plane with the nose slightly above
    level with the ground
  • Land straight into the wind

Flying Tips
  • Keep your model upwind of you
  • If it is too windy dont fly

  • Radio control planes are fun to fly and build
  • You can build planes with your family and your
    friends
  • There are clubs that help you learn how to fly
