Hong Kong's Flag History
This was Hong Kongs flag when China ruled Hong
Kong.
This was Hong Kongs flag when England ruled Hong
Kong.
This is Hong Kongs flag now and the flower is
called a bauhinia. England gave Hong Kong back
to China in 1997. Some say this was the worlds
last empire.

Star Ferry - Tourist Attraction
The Star Ferry takes you from Kowloon to Hong
Kong Island and back. Many people like it because
they can see a lot of Kowloon and it is fun. My
favorite thing about the Star Ferry is how it
bumps against the waves which causes big splashes
and I always got wet. Many Hong Kong people use
this to get to work every day.

The Peak - Tourist Attraction
The Peak is a very high mountain that looks over
Hong Kongs beautiful harbour. To get to the Peak
you go in a tram that goes up vertical tracks.
These were built without any machine help. When
you get to the top you can go shopping up there
or look out over the view.

New Territories.

Chinese new year
Chinese New Year is a celebration that happens
every year. This year it is the year of the rat.
Next year it will be the year of the ox. Dragon
dances (see in picture) are a traditional thing
to do on Chinese New Year. Everyone in HK
celebrates CNY.

Chinese Food
There are lots of different types of Chinese
food such as Dim Sum, stir fry, and noodles. Most
Chinese food is absolutely delicious.
