PRESENTSA Master Class in African Dance
With featured Artist-in-ResidenceDarmone Holland
Darmone Holland is a nationally recognized
dancer, instructor choreographer and storyteller,
and founder of the Diaspora Folkloric Collective,
will explore concepts such as sacred/ritual dance
movement, as well as dances created to prepare
the mind, body and spirit for harvest, marriage,
death, birth, grief, celebration, war,
revolution, rites of passage and every
conceivable aspect of life. Participants will
also be treated to a special presentation
accompanied by Percussionist Bradley Simmons. A
5 registration fee applies.
