Introduction

• Significance is the best preserved imperial
  palace in China and the largest ancient palatial
  structure in the world. For almost five
  centuries, it served as the home of the Emperor
  and his household, as well as the ceremonial and
  political centre of Chinese government.
• Built time was built from 1406 to 1420 in the
  Ming Dynasty .
• Location center of Beijing.
• Size 961 meters long by 753 meters wide, with
  720,000 square meters (177.9 acres, or 7,800,000
  square feet).
• Components consists of 980 surviving buildings
  with 8,707 bays of rooms.
