Oral therapy

• Moderate to severe acne
• Dysmorphophobia with scarring
• Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation
• Gramnegative folliculitis
• Acne fulminance
• Acne conglobata

Oral Istretinoin

• Nodulocystic acne
• Not responding to conventional therapy(3months)
• Resistance to P. acnes
• Failure to respond for what ever reason
• Predominant inflammatory lesion

Hormonal therapy

• Failure to antibiotic therapy (3months) -female
• Where control of acne contraception is required
• Where Isotretinoin is not available
• Where sebum production is more (Antiandrogen,
  Prednisolone 2.5-5mg/day)
