Hat Directions
  • Use black construction paper to make black pots
for the students to wear on Johnny Appleseed's
    birthday.  Staple two 4 1/2" x 12" black
construction paper strips end-to-end.  Round one
end of a 9" x 3" construction paper rectangle to
resemble a pot handle.  Use a round hole puncher
to punch a hole in the rounded end of the
handle.  Fold the opposite end of the handle,
creating a tab for gluing.  Glue the handle to
the headband.  Glue an apple die cut to the
    center of the band.
