    Moncada Barracks
  • Poorly armed guerrillas the Castro brothers were
    two of the few who survived
  • Both thrown in prison because of the attacks
  • Went to Mexico to gain support for the overthrow
    of the Batista government and trained soldiers
  • On the way to the Sierra Maestra mountains, many
    soldiers were killed
