• What are your memories of Harry S. Ashmore?
• I remember my grandfather talking about him
  being ostracized from our family at an early age
  because of his strong stand on desegregation in
  Little Rock, Arkansas. Most of his family was
  racist. My grandfather was a great man, but
  because he was racist he didnt agree with
  Harrys view on desegregation.
• What were Harry Ashmores goals or dreams in
  life?
• Equality for all. He definitely believed that
  all people should be treated equally, and thats
  what he wrote about. Dealing with civil rights
  issues like The Little Rock 9 really helped him
  to prove his point.

  accomplishments?
• Definitely him winning the Pulitzer Prize,
  hands down. Theres no question.
• 4. How did Harry Ashmore influence or have an
  effect on you?
• Ive always been proud of the Ashmore name and
  any accomplishments that an Ashmore achieves. So
  Id have to say that his greatest effect on me
  would be possessing family pride.
