Classroom Procedures
  • To succeed in computer class, simply follow the
    classroom procedures. These procedures will help
    you get the assignments completed with less
    confusion.

Coming to the Computer Lab
  • Bring your assignment notebook and pen or pencil
    to class everyday
  • Any color of pen or pencil
  • Have them ready when the bell rings 
  • Carefully enter the computer lab and quietly take
    your seat at your assigned computer
  • Watch for students who are leaving
  • Watch for busy hallways
  • Use bathroom or get drinks before coming to class

Before the Bell Rings
  • Log on to your computer using
  • Your user name
  • First initial Last name
  • Your password
  • Is a secret code
  • Do not tell anyone
  • Open the Bluebook to the correct Unit and Page
    Number

After the Bell Rings
  • Listen carefully to any directions given at the
    beginning of class
  • Complete all assignments in the computer lab
    using the BlueBook, worksheets, and textbook when
    needed.
  • Unit worksheets are stored in the Worksheet Box
    on the Homework Table
  • Applied Computer Keyboarding textbooks are stored
    on the bookshelf.
  • When you have a question or need help
  • Do not ask your neighbor for help
  • Look over your notes first
  • Read the directions in the Bluebook or on the
    Website
  • To get help fromMrs. Joyce
  • At DVMS, put the black cup over the green cup.
  • At DMS, put the orange cup over the blue cup

Treat the computer equipment with care
  • Do not bang on the keyboard or the mouse
  • Your neighbor and Mrs. Joyce
  • Should not hear you touch any key
  • Do not touch the computer monitor
  • With your fingers
  • With pens or pencils

Handing in Assignments
  • Continue working on your assignments until Mrs.
    Joyce asks you to stop
  • About one minute before the bell rings
  • If you stop earlier, you could be TARDY to next
    class
  • Print to the default printer which is named
  • LabLaser01
  • If you sit at Computers 11-25
  • LabLaser02
  • If you sit at Computers 1-10 or
  • If you sit at Computers 26-30
  • Turn homework into your hour's tray
  • Which is labeled as your hour of class
  • On the black Homework Tower

End of Class
  • Keep homework, unit worksheets, and grading
    sheets
  • In your folder pockets
  • Until they are ready to turn in
  • Log off
  • Your computer
  • Stay in your seat until the bell rings
  • Return
  • Clipboard to book stand and Bluebook to the table

Grades and Due Dates
  • Grades
  • Final Average is sum of the following
  • 10 Units Grade
  • 15 Homework
  • 25 1-Minute Test
  • 25 5-Minute Test
  • 25 10-Minute Test
  • Due Dates
  • Are no due dates BUT
  • Must start three units by end of quarter
  • To earn 100 for Units Grade
  • Two units 90
  • One unit 80
  • Absences
  • Impact how many units you be able to start
  • Will be NO due dates for make-up work
  • Will be NO passes for
  • Before school
  • Study hall
  • After school
  • Extra Practice at Home
  • Key anything that has words
  • Key from the Take Home worksheet
