Collaboration Higher Achievement
An Illinois study in 2005 found, for instance,
that eleventh-grade ACT scores are highest when
there is a high degree of true collaboration
between library media specialists and classroom
teachers in a wide spectrum of activities. Higher
library staffing levels are linked to higher
reading performance for all grade levels. -The
State of Americas Libraries A Report from the
American Library Association 4/06
