The People First Service Center is available to
answer your questions and assist you with the
People First system Monday through Friday, from
830 A.M. to 530 P.M. EST. Have your People
First employee ID number ready. Phone 1-866-663-4

3Logon to People First
To logon to the People First system, you must
have your 6-digit People First employee user ID
number and your 7-digit password, which is 0
followed by your birth date for example, 0031262.
- Go to
- https//peoplefirst.myflorida.com/logon.htm
- Type your ID in the user ID field.
- Type your password in the password field.
- Click LOGON.
4If You Cant Logon
If you cant logon, check the status of your
pop-up blocker it must be turned off for you to
logon in your browser window, go to Tools gt
Pop-up Blocker gt Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.
5If You Cant Logon
If you do not want to turn your pop-up blocker
completely off or if you have multiple pop-up
blockers 1. Type in your user ID and
password. 2. Hold down the control key on your
keyboard while you click the logon button. (If
you have multiple layers of pop-up blockers, and
if you choose not to use the override listed
above, then you must turn off all pop-up
blockers.)
6Password Security
- The first time you logon you will be prompted to
change your password. - Remember that the People First system houses your
personal information, as well as your benefit
information. Choose your password carefully and
do not share it with anyone. - Your password will expire every 90 days, and you
will be required to change it again. - You must use a 7-digit numberletters cannot be
used. - You cannot use any of your previous 5 passwords.
- Additionally, for security purposes, the password
should not be in sequential order, such as
1234567. - It should not have the same three digits in a
row, such as 4555623. - Finally, it should not be associated with your
user ID number for example, if your user ID is
483719, you should not use 4837 as a part of the
password.
7Change Your Password
- Type your user ID in the first field.
- Type your current password in the password field.
- Type in your new password.
- Verify your new password by typing it in again
and click LOGON.
8Forgot Your Password?
- Contact the People First Service Center at
1-866-663-4735 to have your password reset. - The Service Center will provide you with a
temporary password that you will use to logon to
the system so you can create a new password. - When you logon using the temporary password, you
will be prompted to change your password. - Follow the steps on the Change Your Password
slide to create a new password.
9Youre Locked Out
If you forget your ID or password and attempt to
logon incorrectly three times, the system will
lock you out for security purposes. At
that point, you will receive a message on the
Logon Screen to call the People First Service
Center to have your account unlocked and
your password reset.
10Tips for Navigating the System
- Using the back arrow or other Internet
icons will kick you out of the system because
they are outside of the security constraints.
Use the MENU button or the CANCEL button within
People First to exit the current screen. - Red warning messages are the system's way of
prompting you to verify that the information you
entered is correct. Red error messages require
you to correct your data entry before you can
continue. - Hovering your mouse cursor over a field will
often give you additional information or tell you
what the field is for.
11Your People First Homepage
Once you have logged on, you will see your
personal People First homepage. Lets look at
features of this page.
12Navigation Tabs
Across the top are navigation tabs that you may
click to take you to your health insurance
benefits.
13Quick Links Section
You may also click the links to the left in the
quick links section to move to the health
insurance benefits section. These links take you
directly to that section.
14E-Newsletter Link
To read the latest in People First information,
click the link to our e-newsletters. You will
find articles related to using the system,
benefits, and much more.
15Log Off
Finally, you should click LOG OFF to leave the
system. The system will automatically log you
off after 60 minutes of inactivity.
16Health and Insurance Home Screen
- Should you need assistance during Service Center
hours, note the People First Service Center
toll-free number is constantly displayed at the
top of the screen.

- Also near the top are the links to take you to
the various areas within the Health and Insurance
section.

- The links down the center of the page will take
you to sections in the Health and Insurance
window they are the same as the tabs at the top.

- On your home screen, you will find links to
important up-to-date benefits documents on the
left. On the right hand side of the screen you
will find the Frequently Asked Questions section,
which contains valuable information for new
employees.
20Help Link
- For additional assistance with the health and
insurance section, click the help link. There are
several sections of help options. Click on a
link to find out more about a topic.

- For a summary of each link, scroll down the help
screen.
22My Information Link
- The my information link gives you an overview of
your current address. If the address is not
accurate, you should change it with UCFs Human
Resources office. This is the only way to update
People First and the insurance vendors.

- Additionally, once you have entered your
dependents, you will see them listed on this
screen.
24My Benefits
- This page displays your complete benefit
summary. After you have elected insurance
coverage, you will see the health, life or
supplemental insurance you've selected, as well
as the coverage level you selected and the
premium cost for each benefit.
25My Benefits
- Once your elections are made, please review your
enrollment under the My Benefits section to make
sure you selected the correct coverage level for
you and your family. - Remember, the State Group Insurance Program is a
pre-tax plan, and you cannot arbitrarily
make changes during the plan year therefore,
please make sure all of your elections are
correct.
26Enroll in Benefits
- Click on the Change My Current Benefits tab to go
to the enrollment screens.
27Enroll in Benefits
- As a new hire, please read the information on the
new hire screen and click continue.
28Enroll in Health Insurance
- Choose the Health Insurance plan you wish to
enroll in.
29Add Dependents
- If you have family coverage, you will now have to
add all of your dependents. Add all of their
information then click on the box next to each
dependent to add them to your health insurance.
30Enroll in Life Insurance
- Choose whether you want to enroll in Basic Life
Insurance or waive coverage.
31Enroll in Optional Life Insurance
- Choose additional Optional Life Insurance or
waive coverage.
32Flexible Spending Accounts
- The amount entered will be the annual amount.
- Health savings account is used only for those
employees enrolled in the High Deductible PPO/HMO
health plans.
33Supplemental Insurance -Vision
- When enrolling in vision insurance family
coverage, be sure to add dependents onto coverage
by clicking continue and then checking the box
for all dependents covered on the policy.
34Supplemental Insurance - Dental
- Choose your coverage type and level and if family
coverage, be sure to add dependents by clicking
continue and checking the box for all dependents
covered on the policy.
35Supplemental Insurance Colonial Accident and
Disability
- To enroll you must download an enrollment form
and contact your Colonial Agent for your rate.
Check the Colonial brochure for offices or call
HR for a representatives number.
36Supplemental Insurance - Cancer
- Be sure to fill out the supplemental enrollment
forms found in the company brochures and submit
directly to the companies. All cancer coverage
is subject to medical underwriting.
37Supplemental Insurance- Hospitalization
- Be sure to fill out the supplemental enrollment
forms found in the company brochures and submit
directly to the company.
38Summary Screen
- Once you get to the summary screen, be sure to
check that all elected benefits have been entered
before clicking the enroll button.
39Confirmation
- Always print the confirmation page for your
records.
40Requesting Early Effective Dates
- If you are enrolling in or changing your health
and/or basic life, you may request to have an
earlier effective date. - An enrollment form or telephone request for an
early effective date must be received by the
People First Service Center prior to the
effective date. - Call 1-866-663-4735 with your People First ID and
request your early effective date.
41Early Effective Dates
- Coverage will not be active until all premiums
have been received by the People First Service
Center. - Please notify UCF Benefits Section if you have
requested an early effective date so premiums can
be properly deducted. - Payment via personal check/money order may be
necessary. If so, please make payment payable to
DSGI and submit to the following address - DSGI, PO Box 863477, Orlando, FL 32886 (Please
note your People First ID on the payment) - Contact UCF Benefits Section after enrollment,
407-823-2771 - Until your enrollment information (including
premiums) is processed by the third party
administrator People First, your coverage
eligibility will not be reported to the
insurance carrier(s).
42Qualifying Status Change (QSC)
- During the plan year, if you experience an event
such as marriage, divorce, adoption, birth, etc.
. . you are allowed to make certain changes to
your insurance coverage. This is called a
qualifying event. - You have 31 days from the date of the event to
make the change.
43Change My Current Benefits
- The Change My Current Benefits section pertains
to current employees who experience a qualifying
event. - To add or change your beneficiary for life
insurance, please complete the beneficiary change
form found under Benefits Materials.
44Benefits Materials
- If you would like to read the benefits materials,
select the Benefits Materials link. - On the left are forms and in the center are
booklets.
45Benefits Materials
- To view the booklets in PDF format, click the
open link.
46Benefits Materials
- To have the booklet mailed to you, check the box
and select order selected materials. - Read the FAQ section to the right if you wish to
print or have questions.
47Benefits Information
- Clicking on the benefits information section
opens a new, secure window that contains valuable
information about your benefits and employment.
Click one of the links in the popular topics
section on the right or select from the menus on
the left to find the topic you need.
48Documentation Deadline
- If you are a new employee, you have 60 days from
your date of hire to make an insurance election.
If you do not make an election within this
time frame, then your next available opportunity w
ill be during the annual open enrollment period.
- Pursuant to Rule 60P-2.002, you must supply
documentation, such as a marriage license and
birth certificates, to the People First Service
Center as proof of your dependents.
49Open Enrollment
- Each fall you are able to enroll, change, or
cancel your benefits elections, which will take
effect the following January. - You can use the Open Enrollment link under the My
Benefits section during open enrollment time to
make your selections. You will only see this
option during open enrollment time.
50Log Off
- When you have completed your health and insurance
session, be sure to log off for security purposes.

related to People First tasks or benefits.
