Site Guidelines Mandatory Content
  • NSBE and Chapter name are clearly marked
  • Must contain or link to
  • Long Range Plan (LRP)
  • Torch Description
  • National Directives
  • Must link to National Regional sites from all
    pages
  • Must contain official NSBE logo on all pages
  • Must not contain religious or political content

The Dos
  • Double check your work.
  • Create a telecoms committee for assistance.
  • Be clean and professional with your site design.
  • Set days in which you will do site updates
  • Try to get as much work done before school starts
  • Be open minded to people suggestion

The Donts
  • Dont use any form of slang and offensive
    languages.
  • Don't forsake your school work.
  • School is your first priority.
  • Don't be too flashy. (i.e. Java apps)
  • Don't get stressed out.
  • Dont be too serious
  • Dont make it a Job.

Why T-COMMS Look So Tired?
  • Site is too big
  • Design a site that is easy to update.
  • Didnt get information in a timely fashion
  • Ask for files and information at least month in
    advance
  • Time management
  • Set schedule days for major upgrade
  • Not creating a committee
  • Get other people to help you
  • No man is an island
