RSA Staffing Changes

Web Reporter

• Setting up accounts right now
• Top 11 RSA dues paying libraries have
  Professional level licenses
• Allows them to create and modify reports as well
  as run them
• All other Full Online members have Web Reporter
  level licenses
• Allows them to schedule and run reports
• Due to a licensing error in our favor, most or
  all Basic Online libraries will also have Web
  Report level licenses
• We will also be using this product to distribute
  reports via email to your Gmail accounts.

Directors Station Upgrade

• Test server currently acting as production server
• Updated daily
• Feb 09 data missing and Sirsi has elevated to
  product managing engineer after a monthof
  troubleshooting
• Production server will be updated with newest
  version
• Many enhancements for libraries with branches
• We will run DS and WR training days when both are
  online
• Will provide WR training over phone or internet
  prior to those training days.

Enhanced Holds Procedures

• Patron Priority Tweaked from pickup library to
  user library
• Should fix issues where your item becomes
  available but was not sent home to fill your
  patrons hold.
• Use first available item to fill hold
• Before item in transit system considered hold
  filled even if item in pickup library became
  avail.
• Now item in transit will not stop system from
  looking for item to fill hold in pickup library
• Will mean faster fills but some extra transits

• Order Hold Fill Less Transits and smarter hold
  filling selections
• Allows each library to decided which libraries to
  search, in order, to fill holds
• Libraries with branches will fill own requests

  system structure for all Full Online libraries.
• Finishing up with Basic Online libraries
• Multi-day process for each library
• Once all are running, will startcustomizing if
  libraries want.

Standing Committees

• Need Volunteers for
• Union Listing Committee
• RSA Cat Committee
• Reports Committee
• Need these committees to advice us on what
  reports need built in Web Reporter, EOM reports,
  Yearly reports, RSA Cat changes, etc.
• Will be able to meet via internet and/or in person

Standards Group

• Need Volunteers High Level Players
• Idea is to
• Look at what areas is makes sense to set baseline
  standards (circ periods, fines, item types, etc)
• Figure out what would and wouldnt make sense to
  standardize
• Commit to adopting to the standards and making
  their library fit as closely as possible
• Once we have agreement to make standards, then
  get the experts to hash it out
