  Middle Kingdom is a land of extremes.  Depending
  on which snapshot you take of Chinese life, you
  might think China is an underdeveloped nation or
  among the most modern, a hard-line Communist
  regime or the most capitalistic society on
  earth.  In some respects Chinese life is not all
  that dissimilar to American life.

Introduction

• The Thirty-Six Strategies is a unique collection
  of ancient Chinese proverbs that describe some of
  the most cunning and subtle strategies ever
  devised. Whereas other Chinese military texts
  such as Sun Zi's The Art of War focus on military
  organization, leadership, and battlefield
  tactics, the Thirty-Six Strategies are more
  suitably applied in the fields of politics,
  diplomacy, and espionage.

• In China things are done differently. We cannot

  this sentence in a meeting for a contract with a
  mobile phone technology manufacturer.
