2Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampongis a student
currently enrolled at engineering college of
University of Virginia. He has a drive to excel
in whatever he does and is appreciated for his
friendly and outgoing personality. Whether its
sports or studies, he takes everything seriously
and tries to contribute 100 from his side.
During his school days in Eastern Regional High
School, Voorhees, NJ, he showed good ability to
learn, extraordinary leadership qualities, and
determination to succeed in every work that he
undertook.
3He graduated from the school in 2011. Eastern
Regional High School is known for promoting
sports and extracurricular activities. He
developed interest in various sports such as
golf, volleyball, basketball, tennis and soccer.
He played in his school soccer team as a senior
defender.
4Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong actively
participated in diverse extracurricular
activities in school and even in university, he
is contributing volunteer services to various
events and organizations such as Engineering
Student Council, Inter Fraternity Council
Judicial Committee and Sigma Nu Beta Chapter. He
is also a member of National Honor Society.
5During his course of study in school, he took
part in music and sports activities. He received
awards for excellence in musicianship and
guitarship. He worked for many organizations as a
volunteer in summer breaks. Some of these
organizations include Kresson View Center
Nursing Home in Voorhees, NJ Drexel Medical
School in Philadelphia, PA and Ashland Church,
Voorhees, NJ.
6Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong is an ardent
supporter of Outreach360, which is a non-profit
organization in Monti Cristi and helps
underprivileged children by offering them
education opportunities. Outreach360 was
incorporated in 1935 as orphanage outreach. The
aim of the organization was to help orphans in
Dominican Republic. Acheampong teaches English to
the disadvantaged children.
7He also helps the organization by participating
in fund raising activities. He also supports
African Book Challenge, which is another
non-profit organization that raises funds and
collects donations of school supplies, sports
equipment, and clothing for villagers in Ghana.
He has been involved with the organization for
more than six years. He, along with his group,
gathers donation and himself goes to Ghana to
distribute them among kids and families. He is
also a volunteer Soccer coach who has been
coaching elementary school children in the
Voorhees Soccer Association for last three years.
