6The trials started in 1692 to 1693. More than 200
were accused of practicing the Devils magic.
Twenty known people were executed, nineteen where
hung, and one was crushed to death by stones.
Still 300 years later, in the future, this goes
on. The first three victims of the Salem
witchcraft trials were Sarah Good, Sarah Osborne,
and Tituba. Sarah Good and Sarah Osborne claimed
they were innocent, but Tituba pleaded guilty.
She then said this, I saw black dogs, red cats
yellow birds, and a black man wanting me to sign
his book. Before that she said, The devil bid
me to serve him. She accepted his offer.

20The Bible condemned all witches. The place where
the witches were hung was at Gallows Hill .A man
they thought was a wizard they crushed to death
in the courthouse because he wouldnt talk. All
of these events still have effect today. One
example is witch hunts still go on today. Also,
instead of hanging the witches they shot the
victims instead. There are still witch groups
across the globe.
21The Salem Witchcraft Trials were a great tragedy
to colonial Massachusetts. The little girls, of
Massachusetts, may have started the witch hunts,
but the adults kept it alive.
