  savings banks and commercial banks, thrifts and
  loans, savings and loan associations, and from
  credit unions. Other sources where a loan may be
  requested are insurance companies, finance
  lenders, mortgage bankers, pension funds,
  investment trusts and mortgage trusts.

• Real estate investment loans and property
  investment loans are also offered by private
  individuals.

There are two types of real estate investment
loans.

• Residential Category Loans
• often called Non-Owner Occupied (NOO)
• come with investment properties that are bought
  and planned for rent income and appreciation in
  the future

On the other hand, a commercial category

• composed of apartment buildings with 5 or more
  units, mix-used buildings, warehouse and stores.
• Major factors which are considered before an
  investment property loan may be granted are
  investor's income, reserves and credit scores.
