2 The Policy and Integrated Plan of action
disclosed hereby is the collective effort of 22
institutions ( Ministries and Public Services)
implemented during a year of work, with the
participation of all the authorities of the
public central administration that offer
programmes, services and benefits for children
and adolescents in Chile.
3With the support of UNICEF, the draft
document of the Policy and Integrated Plan of
Action was submitted for debate to all regional
and local public institutions and to
organizations of the civil society

11 The Mission of the National Policy
4. To promote and to stimulate the development
of plans, programmes and social services geared
towards assuring the integral development of
children and adolescents.
1. To serve as an orientational framework for
each and every initiative developed in favour of
children and adolescents, particularly public
initiatives.

3. To generate an institutional system for
Childhood, Adolescence and Family, that functions
at Local, Regional and Central levels of Public
Administration
2. To generate the mechanisms and instruments
which will guarantee each child and adolescent
the respect of their rights and allow them to
fully exercise those rights.
