Pro Giver Community
  • Ryan Baker, Isabelle Gettinger, Paige Minteer,
    Taylor Murphy, and Drew Pelisek
  • Period 4

2
Our Motto is...
  • Sameness
  • Safety
  • In the Giver Community, no one is eligible to
get hurt, because every one is the same and no
    one is bad.

3
Reasons
  • In the Giver community
  • No hunger.
  • No disease.
  • Life is orderly.
  • Old are taken care of.
  • There is great government and rule system.

4
Great Government and Rules
  • A strong form of rule in the community provides
safety and security. Firm rules and guidelines
along with obeying citizens create a perfect
environment. Some very important rules that must
be followed are that there is no physical contact
and proper speech and grammar must be used.
Rules such as these create a perfect environment
for all citizens of the community.

After the Peace of Westphalia (1648) the Holy
Roman Empire was little more than a loose
confederation of about 300 independent
principalities and 1,500 or more semi sovereign
bodies or individuals... Napoleon I finally
destroyed the empire. After defeating Austria and
its imperial allies in 1797 and 1801, he annexed
some German land and suggested that the larger
territories compensate themselves by confiscating
the free cities and ecclesiastical states.
This article relates to our topic because it
proves how a strong government with firm rules
can lead to greatness while without a central
government and good rules a community will
collapse.
5
Hunger is not a problem in the giver community.
Food is provided for all residents. Good size
portions are distributed to all people who are
citizens of the community. Hunger is a large
problem that many places have to face, but our
community avoids. The article below written by
Tamer El-Ghobashy for the New York Daily News
proves how hunger affects the world.
Hunger
  • In much of New Orleans yesterday, food and
water remained in short supply. Medical help was
nowhere to be found. And answers were impossible
to come by. Then hope ran out and it was the
biggest loss of all. At the city's convention
center, a frustrated and angry mob rioted,
furious that they had been dumped at a place
where there was no food, no water and no one in
charge. At the Superdome, fights broke out in the
huge crowd that assembled on an upper parking
deck. The crowd jostled for position and hoped
eventually to get on a bus to somewhere,
    anywhere. Children cried, women fainted.

6
Disease
  • In the community of The Giver, no one ever gets
sick. It is this way because there is no harmful
bacteria traveling about. Pathogens are not
spread because the ill are treated immediately.
Children born with diseases are immediately
released in order to stop the spread of an
arising epidemic. Food poisoning is avoided
because of the care put into the making and
distribution of food. This community is very
    conscientious about stopping diseases and
    epidemics.
  • An article on http//www.freerepublic.com
states, The outbreaks in South Korea, Japan and
Vietnam have been caused by the H5N1 strain of
avian influenza viruses. can range from a mild
disease that has only minor effects to a highly
infectious fatal version. It spreads in the air
    and in manure.
  • This article relates to our topic because no
one in our community would be able to get this
disease because our community is disease-free.

7
Conclusion
  • No longer will there be hunger, disease, or war.
    The rules will be enforced-
  • If you support the Giver community
  • Support a perfect community with peace and
safeness. Join the Giver community today.
