2We have become slaves to our children!
3"Be on your guard stand firm in the faith be
men of courage, be strong. Do everything in
love. I Cor.
1613-14
4I am about to go the way of all the earth, he
said, So be strong, show yourself a man, and
observe what the Lord your God requires Walk in
his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his
laws and requirements as it is written
I Kings 21-3
5What does it mean to be strong or show yourself
a man?
- Do strong men cry?
- Do strong men admit when they are wrong?
- Do strong men show affection?
- Do strong men always say NO!
6- You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy,
righteous and blameless we were among you who
believed. For you know that we dealt with each
of you as a father deals with his own children,
encouraging, comforting and urging you to live
lives worthy of God who calls you into his
kingdom and glory. I Thess. 210-12 -

11DISCIPLINE
- And, Fathers, do not provoke your children to
anger
12Have you ever disciplined your child in anger?
13Anticipatory Consequences
14No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but
painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest
of righteousness and peace for those who have
been trained by (Heb. 1211).
15He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who
loves him is careful to discipline him
(Pr. 1324)
16Discipline your son, for in that there is hope
do not be a willing party to his death
(Pr. 1918).
17Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but
the rod of discipline will drive it far from
him. (Pr. 2215)
18Do not withhold discipline from a child if you
punish him with the rod, he will not die. Punish
him with the rod and save his soul from death
(Pr. 2313-14).
19The rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child
left to himself disgraces his mother.
Pr. 2915

the lord, children a reward from him.

born in ones youth.Blessed is the man whose
