84-D Immersion Theater
94-D Immersion Theater
- http//www.aqua.org/4d.html
- The Aquariums 4D Immersion Theater combines the
visual drama of a 3D film with a variety of
sensory effects, which are built into theater
seats and the theater environment. - Most films are transformed into 20-minute or less
experiences and will virtually bring on-screen
images to life with added effects such as water
mist, wind, a neck air blast, snow, bubbles,
steam, leg ticklers, scents, enhanced floor
lighting, and seat vibrations!
10Planet Earth Shallow Seas 4-D Experience
- The Aquarium invites you to descend beneath the
surface of the ocean into our new 4-D Immersion
Theater. Combining the drama of 3-D with special
effects such as wind, mist, scents and dramatic
lighting, Planet Earth Shallow Seas 4-D
Experience explores some of the world's richest
coral reefs and shallow coastal waters. Meet
fantastic creatures like the unique pygmy
seahorse and giant sun star, and be there as
their stories unfold. Hunt along side bands of
sea snakes as they use cunning strategy to lure
unsuspecting prey. - In this epic 15-minute 4-D adventure, hear the
power of the ocean's waves as they crash along
the shoreline, and feel the salty spray as you
surf the coast with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins
in search of food. Glide alongside a cast of
balletic sea lions as they dive through vast
swirling bait balls of anchovy, and track a
mother humpback whale and her calf as they
navigate from their tropical nursery to the Artic
Circle. Experience the greatest gathering of
seabirds and whales ever captured in Digital HD. - Sense the pressure, feel the perils and smell the
triumph as you celebrate Earth as never before in
Planet Earth Shallow Seas 4-D Experience.

12Animal Planet Australia
13Australian Extreme
- http//www.aqua.org/australia.html
- The Aquarium's Australian exhibit, Animal Planet
Australia Wild Extremes, depicts amazing stories
of survival in an extreme environment. - The highly adaptive animals in wild Australia
have survived over millions of years in a land of
drought, fire, and flood.
14- More Than a Stone's Throw AwayAustralia, roughly
the same size as the United States, is the
worlds largest island. Separated by ocean from
the rest of the world, Australia has a higher
percentage of endemic animals than any other
continent on earth, meaning that many of its
species are not naturally found outside the
country. - These animals living creatures that are as
close to prehistoric as can be found on earth
developed over millions of years in solitude. - Most of us will never get within a cooee of these
creatures without going to wild extremes.
15- The Northern TerritoryAnimal Planet Australia
Wild Extremes depicts a river gorge in the the
northern region of outback Australia. The earth
in this harsh land is deep and rich red,
including the soil, the sand, and the rock. - Twice the size of California, but with only
200,000 residents, the Northern Territory is a
land where nature reigns. Adventurous visitors
can explore the World Heritage parks of Kakadu
and Uluru (Ayers Rock) trek through the Outback
ride to dinner on a camel and enjoy the fiery
and unforgettable sunsets that light up Darwin
Harbour. - From saltwater crocodiles to birds that can't
fly the animals of the Northern Territory are as
diverse as they are plentiful. The landscape
shifts from desert plains to waterfalls that
reach for the sky. Welcoming, friendly and laid
back, the Northern Territory of Australia is
haven for those that want to connect with nature-
in a land of wild extremes!
16Frogs! A Chorus of Colors
17- Many of us recognize their music as the backdrop
to summer evenings. Almost anywhere, in any
environment, frogs fill the night with the music
of their croaks, yaps, grunts, chirps, whoops,
trills, snores, growls, and whistles. - Follow their calls anywhere in tropical
forests, frozen tundra or scorching deserts, from
rural country sides to bustling cities and, if
you look closely, youll find frogs hopping,
climbing, walking, running, burrowing, swimming,
and maybe even gliding. - These amphibians are among the most visually
stunning, vocally pleasing, and adaptively
remarkable life forms on earth, but their chorus
is fading. The beauty and elegance of frogs is
often overlooked, but in Frogs A Chorus of
Colors, we invite you to take a closer look. And
a good listen.

20A Fading Chorus
- Over the past 50 years, scientists have recorded
major declines in frog populations around the
world. A few species have vanished completely. - Many frogs die as the result of local human
activity, but the epidemic has also reached
remote areas. Is there a global cause? Scientists
continue to search for answers. - Among the causes factoring into population
declines are - Habitat destruction by human development
- Introduced species that prey on frogs or affect
the food chain - Chemical pollution
- Climate Changes
- Over-collection as a food source
- Epidemic diseases
