Mark 1st and 5th Metatarsal

Check for Dorsi Flexion

Check for Plantar Flexion
5
Check for abduction

Check for adduction

Place, non weight bearing, foot into the box

Rotate box, in order to obtain a neutral position

Make sure thigh, knee, and ankle are all at 90
degree angles

• In order to do so
• Seat patient to front edge of the chair
• Then press down on patients knee and dorsum of
  foot

Press toes in order to ensure that the 1st and
5th and the heel are all the same depth

Mark the 1st and 5th points into the foam for lab
reference

Check to verify depth.1st , 5th , and the heel
must all be the same depth
