2Brian Joseph Etiwanda has been an educator for
over sixteen years and has served as a classroom
English teacher and administrator. He has broad
interests in brain based learning and research,
as well as the educational achievement gap
between African Americans, Latinos, low
socioeconomic students and their White and Asian
counterparts. He is also interested in the role
that school climate, teacher's attitudes and
approach play in the role of academic achievement
of the aforementioned groups.
3Presently, he is the online faculty member at the
University of Phoenix. He provides theory and
practice education through learner-centered
instruction to enable graduates to fulfill their
objectives. He instructs and facilitates a
meaningful learning experience of the course
competencies in the curriculum and proactively
supports all facets of the LTU online learning
environment. He encourages an online culture of
learning that values mutual responsibility,
life-long learning, diversity, and ethics as well
as personal and professional development.
4Over the years, Brian Joseph Etiwanda has played
vital roles in the educational sector. He
developed budgets and financial forecasts for the
purpose of providing financial guidance and
recommendations to administrative personnel and
governing board. He evaluated assigned personnel
to ensure that standards are achieved and
performance is maximized. He is experienced at
preparing a wide variety of materials for the
purpose of documenting activities, providing
written references, and conveying information.
5Brian Joseph Etiwanda has an extensive education
background. He has single subject teaching
credential and professional administrative
services credential. He received his Bachelor of
Arts in English Literature from California State
University, Masters of Arts in Educational
Administration from California State University
and Doctor of Education, Ed.D from University of
Southern California.
