My Advice During this assembly Im going to
give you 12 pieces of advicefor free! Each
piece of advice is something that I now know (Im
31this is the part where you should all think
she doesnt look a day over 21) but that I wish
someone had told me when I was your age. When
you read point number 2, youll see that it
doesnt really matter whether or not you agree
with me. I have the strength of mind to not
really care!!!

• Some things arent worth worrying about. In
  order to control anxiety, ask yourself the
  following questions
• In five years time will this matter?
• Whats the worst that can happen?

2. Your opinion can be as valuable as anyone
else's. If you dont value you, who else will?

3. Growing up can be a shock. Soften the blow
by relying less on others and learning how to
look after yourself!

4. If you put rubbish in, you get rubbish out.
Its no good acting like a waste of space and
then complaining that the World is against you.

5. Being a nice person gets you a long way. The
saying what goes around comes around is often
true.

6. You cant be good at everything. Its okay
to fail as long as you learn from it and find
something else that you can do.

• Develop self-preservation skills
• You dont have to say yes to everything that
  people ask you to do. Use your head!!!
• We are all mortal and therefore delicate.

• Those around you may not always be there so
• Value people.
• Learn to make your own choices.

9. Time passes by really quickly. Make the most
of it.

10. Mixing with different types of people makes
you more broad minded. Try not to stereotype and
dont judge a book by its cover.

11. You can usually make your own luck. At some
stage life will be tough its the choices that
you make in response that determine whether
youll be okay.

12. Getting an education gives you choices.
Modern day poverty is about lack of choice. You
dont have to be the cleverest - you just have to
find something that you can do and work at it!
