From Earth we see 8 different moon phases. Moon
phases happen because when the sun shines on the
moon it is bright on the side phasing the sun.
The other side of the moon phasing Earth is Dark
because there is no sun light. So we dont see a
moon. As the moon orbits the Earth The sun shines
on different sides of the moon so we see
different sides of the moon which is called moon
phases. All the moon phases shown below occur
every night.
