- In 2003, 42 of Scottish households had access to
the internet from home - In 1998 this was 9
- 96 of 16-24 year olds have access to the
internet - Younger users often conduct searches on behalf of
older relatives - In Canada two thirds of all Canadians have
visited a health website. Of those visiting a
health website, 66 visit monthly - NHS Direct Online has over 70 million hits / over
2 million visits per annum
