9 OBJECTIVES
- General objectives
- This work aimed to clarify the significance of
gene polymorphisms with respect to the observed
bone density and quantities potentially related
to bone turnover in postmenopausal Indonesian
women. - to establish a system to investigate prognostic
and predictive markers of osteoporosis in
Indonesia -
- to improve the quality of prognosis of
osteoporosis at different stages of severity by
analysis the pattern of multiple genetic
polymorphisms related to bone turn over, combined
with other risk factors and - to investigate the potential for biphosphonates
therapy of osteoporosis, with and without
combined HRT, ( using cell lines??). -
