Title: What are "Linear Relationships"

1
What are "Linear Relationships?"
Alyssa W Taylor L Cortney F Korey B
2
The definition of a linear relationship is a
relationship in which there is a constant rate of
change between two variables. For example, for
each unit increase one variable there would be a
constant change in the other variable.

Cortney's Linear Realationship
Cortneys example of a linear relationship is
driving go-karts. Each time his customers do a
lap, he charges them 2.50. The independent
variable is how many laps, and the
dependant variable is the amount of money.

Taylor's Linear Relationship
Taylors example of a linear relationship is a
job, known as JL, and how much money she gets
paid every hour, which is 10. So if she worked
2 hours, she would be paid 20. The independent
variable would be time, and the dependant
variable is how much money.

Alyssa'a Linear Relationship
My linear relationship example is a psychic. I
would charge 1 a minute. I could use a psychic
for an example because every time the person
talked longer they would be charged more. So if
they talked to me for 5 minutes they would be
charged 5.00. The independent variable is time
and the dependent variable is the amount of
money.

Korey's Linear Relationship
Koreys example on a linear relationship is a car
wash. He is charging 3.50 per car. For each car
he washes, he adds 3.50. The independent
variable is how many cars he washes, the the
dependant variable is money.

Should we connect the points?
No, we should not connect the points because
there is no in between charges. If the person
talked for 1 and a half minutes, they would
still be charged 2.00 because they went over 1
minute.
