  • An intensive writing and literature program

    State Prison

  • Partnership with schools in Africa providing

  • Students constructed an interactive Georgia map
    of famous Georgians, landmarks, and historical
    events.

  • 330 students enrolled
  • 157 students enrolled in Carnegie classes
  • English I, Honors English, Algebra, Geometry,
    Spanish I, Computer Programming-Java, Intro to
    Computer Applications, and Visual Arts I

We Know Our Students Brains

Left-,Right, and Middle-Brain Theory
  • A survey was administered to students to
    discover if they are left, right or middle
    brained dominant. A close 121 (RML) ratio was
    found. The survey provided another valuable piece
    of information about our family of students.
    Teachers use this knowledge to develop strategies
    and learning activities that will enrich the
    depth and breath of each students dominant
    hemisphere, as well as challenge and develop
    their less developed hemisphere.

Students of the Month
  • At the end of each month, two students
    (male/female) are chosen by teachers, per grade
  • On the last day of the month, students
    participate in a luncheon (on stage)
  • Students are presented Chick-Fil-A and McDonalds
    coupons, and a certificate
  • Students names are placed on the board in the
    main hallway

  • All A Honor Roll
  • Students receive an Honor Card which includes
  • Honor Lunch (8th grade only) in the Courtyard any
    day
  • Free ice cream every Friday
  • Free admission to ALL GMS sporting events
    dances
  • Early release every Friday at 330
  • GMS Honor Card
  • Dont leave home without it!

  • Random Acts of Kindness
  • Students who are seen exhibiting acts of
    kindness, character, or citizenship performed
    without provocation, receive an Ice Cream pass
