Phase II RFP Objectives

• Design, Develop, Integrate, Test, and Deliver a
  Production Representative Engineering Development
  Model (EDM) to Meet the Requirements of
  System/Subsystem Specification (SSS)
• Use an Incremental Software Development Approach
  to Permit
• Early Initiation of Development
• Incremental Testing of Development Builds
• Reassessment of Detailed Design in Response to
  Early Testing and On-going Trade-space Analysis
  Results
• Ensure DII COE Level 6 Compliance as Defined in
  DII COE Integration and Runtime Specifications
  while Minimizing TOC
• Deliver EDM Not Later Than 30 Sept 2003
• Optimize Use of New and Emerging Technologies to
  Manage Cost, Schedule, and Performance Risks
