PROJECTs AIM

• Better understanding, monitoring and controlling
  environmental pollution and public health risks
  posed by industrial activities in the Fergana
  Valley.
• Development of respective national and regional
  monitoring strategies, plans, networks as well as
  the institutional strengthening of the regulatory
  bodies and their supporting scientific background
  institutions.

PROJECTs OBJECTIVES/STEPS

•  Rapid risk assessment and ranking of environment
  and health mutual trans-boundary risks originated
  by the selected industrial sites, with
  prioritisation of risks related to individual
  sites.
• Definition of preventive and mitigation measures
  necessary reduce the identified risks, including
  recommendations for emergency situations
  management.

• To promote the public participation on the risk
  management.
• To support the institutional strengthening of the
  national Bodies competent in monitoring and
  management of industrial risks.
• To provide scientific support to the competent
  Institutions.

Proposal has been already presented to possible
donors, since the Bratislava meeting (Under POP
Convention or other forms). The Project shall be
shared and jointly led with local experts and
structures and shall foresee the utilization of
the national resources
