Objectives
System Design

• Control temperature and light intensity in
• a room using an automated system

• Fabricated test frame
• Used 3 sensors, stepper motor, and MRK board for
  control
• Used Eclipse and MRK terminal to produce and run
  system code
• Utilized blind turning mechanism

Results

• System opens and closes blinds according to
  sensor readings and user input
• System can run continuously
• Boundary conditions needed
• Additional development of user interface is
  needed
• Can be used in any household or office to save
  energy and enhance comfort
