Diagnosis Total Shoulder Replacement for
Rheumatoid Arthritis Synovitis/Pannus and
Bursitis (evident on arthrogram)
Clinical History Pain and swelling periosteal
following total shoulder replacement.
Findings Right shoulder arthrogram indicates
synovial nodularity (arrowheads) and
proliferation.
Pathology No culture growth therefore no
infection. Pannus found, so active rheumatoid
arthritis despite arthroplasty.
