Who are we?
  • Wataniya Telecom was launched in Kuwait December
    1999
  • November 2002, Wataniya initiated its investment
    portfolio outside Kuwait and invested in 50 of
    Orascom Telecom Tunisia to form Tunisiana
  • December 2003, awarded the licence in Algerias
    to become the countrys newest GSM network
    operator
  • December 2003, Iraqs Coalitional Provisional
    Authority awarded Wataniya Telecom, the license
    to operate in Northern Iraq
  • July 2004 Wataniya International was established
    with a mandate to drive the pursuit of regional
    and global expansion opportunities, as well as to
    build and leverage technical, financial and
    commercial synergies within the Wataniya Telecom
    group of companies
  • February 2005, the Telecommunications Authority
    of Maldives (TAM) announced that Wataniya Telecom
    was awarded the license to provide mobile
    telephony services for the Maldives Republic
  • July 2005, Wataniya announced the launch of Bravo
    Saudi Arabia
