Why are we (voluntarily) here?

• mobile/DTN participants at FIND Santa Fe meeting
  thought this would be interesting/fun
• small, in-depth discussions hard at FIND meeting
• learn more about closely-related FIND (or
  FIND-related) projects
• discover points of collaboration, leverage
• model for other FIND area?

NSF FIND a few thoughts

• not your traditional NSF program
• traditionally small group works alone, write
  papers
• similar to old DARPA model small groups
  collaborate with each other (forced?)
• good things arise from interaction (common
  architecture, implementation)
• FIND
• architecture requires many pieces
• participants FIND-funded, FIND-related
• NSF hoping for (but will not mandate) interaction
• future collaborative grants? (do this proactively)
