Title: Rosetta
1- Rosetta - Mission Status
2Mission Status
- Deep Space Manoeuvre 3 executed in April 07
- Jupiter observation campaign completed in May 07
- NSHM 4 from June to Sept 07 was nominal
- PC6 activities conducted according to the plan
(see next slide) - Very successful Earth Swing-by phase
- Spacecraft on track for Steins Fly-by in
September 2008 (05/09/08 ca. 1830 UTC) - Spacecraft status is nominal
3Payload Status
- Payload Check-out 6 (PC6) (September
07) - Planning process much simpler and smoother than
PC4 - Execution was still affected by many problems
thus indicating immature payload operations (no
real progress since Mars Swing-by) - COSIMA 680 error events
- OSIRIS 160 error events cancellation of ops
- ALICE unexpected service 19 enabled status
- GIADA wrong dump TC
- RPC wrong seq.
- MIDAS SW problem and subsequent cancellation of
ops - Philae CIVA SW upload failed multiple times
Status of all payload anomaly reports concerning
Philae to be given by Philae Project
4Overview from launch to Philae landing
5Overview of the next 18 months
6SWT Discussion of PC11
Current Schedule PC10 ESB3 PC11
PC12 Sep 09 Nov 09 Dec 09 May 10 RMOC
proposed to cancel PC11 and advance PC12 to
April. The decision is to be made at the 24th
SWT in spring 2008.
7RSOC Relocation to ESAC
- RSOC has been relocated to the European Space
Astromony Centre (ESAC) - New RSOC servers at ESAC
- - Replacement servers used at ESTEC
- In Jan. 2008 the PI-RSOC interface (ORFA) will
move to ESAC. - RSOC IP numbers will change for PI teams.
Interface tests will be done with PI teams. - - Move of the archiving system 14-18 Jan.
8- Mission proceeding according to the plan
- Spacecraft performance is nominal
- Work is required in the area of payload anomaly
reports - Given the intense schedule for the next three
years, activities shall now focus on closing all
commissioning issues (SOC document) and preparing
the instruments for routine / off-line operations
