Sacrificial Giving?

• This Church, This Pastor and Your God, doesnt
  want your money!
• They want your commitment!
• The secret to sacrificial giving is the motive,
  not the amount.
• Look at the widows mite Mark 1242 or Luke 212

Mark 1241- 44
41. Jesus sat down opposite the place where the
offerings were put and watched the crowd putting
their money into the temple treasury. Many rich
people threw in large amounts. 42. But a poor
widow came and put in two very small copper
coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. 43.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell
you the truth, this poor widow has put more into
the treasury than all the others. 44. They all
gave out of their wealth but she, out of her
poverty, put in everything--all she had to live
on."

Luke 211- 4
1. As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting

Commitment, not Your Money

• HE wants you!
• Your lifes commitment!
• Your all!
• Your everything!
• Your time, talents, testimony, troubles
• HE Wants it all!

Why? What is the Purpose?

• To Build Your Faith
• To Build this Building
• To Build up Your Church Family
• To Build YOU, into what HE wants for YOUR future
• You have no idea, what God can do if YOU will let
  him

Your Commitment Should be a Seed!

• A seed of Faith to grow your faith
• A seed of submission, recognizing your need for
  HIM and HIS power
• A seed of praise. Praising HIM for what HE is
  going to do, before HE does it!
• A seed of sacrifice and worship. Forgiving what
  we could have to worship HIS dominion in our life!

All This From a Simple Pledge?

• Yes! But the pledge must not be simple!
• It must be life changing!
• It should be out of YOUR power!
• It should be out of YOUR abilities!
• It should NEED DEMAND, HIS Power!
• It should NEED DEMAND, HIS abilities!!

• How do I Find out?
• Stop! Would you hear if HE shouted?
• Pray!
• Seek! Have you sought HIM out?
• Read Your Bible
• Seek counsel
• Family
• Church leader or friend
• Lay leader or friend

HOW?

• Dont listen to anyone but HIM
• No seeds of doubt, despair, discouragement
• No seeds of concern, worry, anxiety
• Read Chapters 1 to 6 in Nehemiah
• Find out how a man with nothing, built for God,
  what God wanted Built
• Know that God is in this Wall your church is
  building. HE wants it built thorough you!

• Step Out In Faith Praise Positive Belief
• Leave the Babylon of YOUR captivity!
• Attitude? Resentment? Disbelief? Worry? A habit?
• Anger? Frustration? Comparisons to others? ????
• Rely upon HIM and Not Yourself
• Start praising HIM for what HE is going to do,
  before HE does it

• Be sure that your commitment, your sacrifice,
  your gift is made with the attitude of redemptive
  love Psalm 406
• Be sure that the commitment is now what YOU want
  but what HE wants!

Psalm 405-8
5. Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you
have done. The things you planned for us no one
can recount to you were I to speak and tell of
them, they would be too many to declare. 6.
Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but my
ears you have pierced burnt offerings and sin
offerings you did not require. 7. Then I said,
"Here I am, I have come-- it is written about me
in the scroll. 8. I desire to do your will, O
my God your law is within my heart."
