Mrs. Lachmiller inspired me to read it. So I read
the back and loved it!

• I think Rick Riordan wrote this book to
  entertain. Because he wanted to make the book
  scary, exciting and adventurous. He has the most
  incredible ideas. I had a wonderful time reading
  this book!

In the beginning

• Percy is on a field trip and he is eating lunch
  while talking to his friend Grover and then
  Percys enemy Nancy starts bugging them. He
  pushes her and he gets in trouble.
• Mrs. Dodds takes him upstairs and turns into a
  bird like monster and tries to kill him and then
  Percys latin teacher, Mr.Bunner, tosses him a
  pen called a Riptide. When Percy uncapped it, it
  turned into a sword.
• When the bird like monster tried to attack Percy
  he cut her shoulder and she disappeared into dust.

In the middle

• Percy is sent on a quest to get Zeuss Master
  Lighting Bolt.
• Percy is traveling to L.A with his friends Grover
  and Annabeth.
• They get into a fight with a ferocious monster on
  the Golden Gate Arch.
• Percy is the only one who is fighting the monster.

In the end

• Percy gets to the Underworld where Lord Hades,
  the god of the Underworld, has the lightening
  sword.
• Percy gets in trouble because all these dead army
  guys surrounded them.
• Percy gets the sword and returns the sword to
  Lord Zeus.

Summary

• One day a kid named Percy Jackson gets himself
  into a fight with his teacher that will change
  his life. On a journey of a life time he gets
  into fights with not only monsters but GODS! His
  main quest is to return the lightning sword to
  Zeus.

Opinion

• I thought this was one of the best books Ive
  ever read. It was mysterious and exciting. It was
  so hard to put down I once stayed up until 1030!!
