Advantages of VAWT

• Power train in VAWT is placed on the ground for
  easy access
• You do not need a Yaw Mechanism to turn rotor
  into wind

• Turbine needs a motor to start moving
• Needs guy wires which are impractical in heavily
  farmed areas
• Replacing main turbines requires taking down
  whole machine
