Experimental Setup

• Goal To determine the efficacy of dry release
  exercise shirts
• Procedure
• Used 24 AFROTC Cadet Volunteers
• Measured body temperature from the armpit using a
  thermocouple before and after exercise
• Performed a 23 factorial experiment
• Three Factors
• Exercise Length (5/10 min)
• Exercise Type (Run/Walk)
• Shirt Type (DryRel/Cotton)

Conclusions

• Dry Release Shirt had an effect on
  body temperature during exercise
• Using a Dry Release shirt will better
  maintain core body temperature during activity
• Model only works for data collected and range
  specified
• Further study and modeling need to be performed

• Length of exercise
• 20 and 50 minutes
• Should use heart rate monitors to ensure more
  uniform exercise intensity
• Measurement Accuracy
• Use thermocouples with faster response
• Measure body temperature from a different
