5Male and female clothing of this time.
- Males did not have a lot of choices. They wore
boots and their garb consisted of knee high
breeches and long socks. They wore long coats and
a waistcoat. - Females unlike the men the females had a variety
of clothing to choose from. The average female
would have more then one gown one to walk around
in one for cleaning one for parties an one for
church and they would also have more. There
average gown consisted of jewelry, a cap, a
petticoat and possibly a caraco (or under dress)
6Colors of this time
- Colors that women wore were more dull they wore
colors like ivory, sand, light blue, blue-grey,
silver, and pink. Men also had dull colors but
they were darker things like black and brown were
mostly found only on them. Black was usually worn
by the rich because it was harder to make the
less wealthy wore more muted pale or dull colors.

- Wool usually only used during cold weather
- Silk which was expensive but very popular many
people wore it. - Linen is what people wore if they couldnt
afford silk.

- The waist coat became a big trend in the early
17th century and didnt start to die off till the
end of the 18th century. - Knee high breeches were first used a lot in the
early 16th century they didnt start to die off
this the early 19th century. Men still where
reformed knee high breeches to this day.

This is the type of robe I would have my
character wear. However I would make it a longer
powdered wig so it came down to his shoulders and
he would have a golden pocket watch with the
chain hanging out of his pocket.

would also wear a wooden cricifix necklace. The
fabric would be silk to show that he was more
wealthy then others.
