In the news
1. BORDEN Foods, the Mallow powder packing
plant, will close in about four months, with the
owners agreeing to sell a range of worldwide
assets and dairy brands to Nestle.
2. Under the Borden/Nestle deal, Nestle is
acquiring the packing equipment at the Mallow
plant, while Borden's parent, KKR, intends to
sell the building and site at a later date.
3. KKR had been steadily selling off the Borden
assets.

1. Borden Foods Corp. said Monday it would sell
several of its pasta brands to the American
Italian Pasta Co. of Kansas City, Mo., for about
67.5 million.
2. New World Pasta Acquiring another business,
Borden Foods' pasta division. (Retreated into
bankruptcy protection in May 2004.)
3. Goldman Sachs Co. is acting as Borden
Foods' financial adviser as the company continues
to look for buyers for other parts of its business

to close out its operations by year-end.

his sisters job.
- Twins in 1957 who were named by 3,000,000 fans
- In 1997 Elsie united Borden Cheese with DFA.
