How do we turn a pencil and paper assignment to
a fancy technology lesson?
  • What kind of technology equipment is available in
    your school building? School system?
  • What kind of technology do your students have
    assess to?
  • Does your department have technology money? Does
    your school?
  • Buy technology equipment/software that will
    benefit not only the world language dept but
    other departments in your school.

How do we turn a pencil and paper assignment to
one that has technology?
  • 1. Start slowly Begin by adding a technology
    based activity that will take place for 10
    minutes of a lesson.
  • 2. Pick an easy and engaging technology based
    activity (QUIA, video recorder, digital camera).

Taking Notes
  • Use Microsoft office tools (power point, excel,
    Word Document) and/ or Inspiration.
  • Book the computer lab in your school media center
    and teach your class there allowing your students
    to take notes on the desktops.
  • Provides students with multitasking, typing, and
    computer skills.
  • Book the LCD Projector and project notes on board
    via your lap top. More time efficient way to give
    notes to students. You are not re-writing notes
    throughout the day. Also provides consistency
    among classes.
  • Behavior Management tip give extra credit,
    coupon, or award for the first 5 students who
    finish their notes (plus save the document
    properly) first ?.

    check technology is a wonderful thing but
