6Linking
- Programs in the same discipline (English,
Elementary, etc.) that are at different levels
(for example, undergraduate and
post-baccalaureate) or different in other
waysbut that have identical assessments. - If the assessments are not identical then
individual program reports must be submitted for
each program. - In order to ensure that each program receives an
individual decision, it is necessary for a shell
(or template) to be created for each program in
PRS. - Compilers enter all information and text for
these programs just one time into the first
shell. The system will then automatically copy
the information into the other program report
forms.
7Implications for Reviewers
- Reviewers do the same thing
- Input response into first shell for recognition
report. - When they submit the report, the system
automatically copies all text into each of the
other recognition reports linked together - Reviewer then can go in and change level and
submit report
8- Lets see how this works in PRS
9Informing Reviewers about Linking
- Web Seminars
- Mini Video
- Brief hard copy explanation e-mailed to all
reviewers - Any other ideas?
10Number of program reports this semester is a new
record
11Data Rule for Fall 08
- Expect two years of data
- One year of data amount of data expected to be
gathered in one year - So, if an assessment is offered in a course that
is only offered once a year, then one year of
data one semester of data - A brand new program must have one year of data
- What do you think about..
12TIMELINESUMMARY
13Our deadline to post recognition reports to
institutions
14Robin is piloting a new strategy this semester
- Working with her SPA Coordinators to
- Make all reviewer assignments by 10/1 (two weeks
early) - Will ask all reviewers to scan/read report within
first week - If there are major documentation problems
(criteria are being written) reviewer will notify
Robin - Robin will contact program and give them 5 days
to make changes - Reviewers will then have the same 4 weeks to
complete reviews
15Issues being addressed by SASB this Fall
- Report from SASB Task Force on SPA Standards
- Based on feedback from SPAs and others
- Information only, recommendations should be
finalized in spring - Middle School Issue

of AIMS
16Update on other issues
