Baseball player George Herman Ruth was born in
1895.

He had 7 brothers and sisters, but six of them
died. His Mom and Dad didnt take care of him so
they put him in an orphanage. He became
incorrigible which means very naughty. Then
some teachers started to care about him and he
started playing baseball.

When he was 19 he started playing professional
baseball. He became the greatest baseball player
ever. He played for the New York Yankees. From
1920 to 1933 they won seven championships.

They called Yankee Stadium "The House that Ruth
Built."

Babe Ruth really liked kids and he never bothered
about them surrounding him.

Ruth died in 1948.
