  • Students will be scheduled into English and
    Social Studies classes based on their scores on
    the English/ Reading portion of the California
    Standards Test (CST)
  • English 7 GATE for students qualified for GATE
    through the Santa Barbara School District GATE
    Office (730-7775)
  • English 7 Honors for students who have scored
    Advanced
  • (scores above 400)
  • English 7 College Prep for students performing
    at grade level and who have scored either Basic
    or Proficient (scores of 300 400)
  • Reading Support Class for students who score
    Below Basic or Far Below Basic (usually a
    score below 300)

  • Auditions held in May 2008
  • Chorus General group is open to all singers
    Outburst, our elite group, is open by audition
    only.
  • Advanced Band Open to players with more than one
    year experience. Concerts, parades and music
    festivals are held several times during the year.
  • Jazz Band Made up of brass, saxophones, a bass
    player, drummer and a pianist, this class focuses
    on Big Band and jazz classics. By audition only.

Late Start Thursdays
  • Every Thursday classes begin at 930am and end at
    the regular time (230pm)
  • Teachers hold weekly meetings to share ideas,
    design new curriculum and analyze test data
  • Students should arrive just prior to 930am if
    possible, however supervision is available in the
    Cafeteria

Transfer Students
  • Application deadline is February 29, 2008
  • Intra-District Fill out the application at your
    home junior high school and meet with an
    administrator who will then sign it.
  • Inter-District Fill out an application at your
    home school district office (ex. Ventura,
    Lompoc).
  • Return the completed application to the SB School
    District Office 720 Santa Barbara Street.
  • Questions Call Ana Reierson at 963-4331 ext 276
